先手必勝せんてひっしょう！
マットのルールを無視むしした作戦さくせんに押おし切きられ、何なにもできないサカモトであった。

Whoever strikes first wins!

Sakamoto who could do nothing, was overpowered by Matt’s tactics to ignore the rules.

The next day, this incident appeared on the front page of the newspaper.

 

Vocab Breakdown

先手必勝（せんてひっしょう）：this is an expression that means that the first person to attack is the victor. You can also think of it as “the early bird gets the worm”

ルールを無視する（るーるをむしする）：to ignore the rules

～作戦に押し切られる（さくせんにおしきられる）：to be overpowered by (one’s) tactics

何もできない（なにもできない）：to not be able to do anything
